Hello gold choir,

Miss Lim would like to tell all of you that she's really proud of you all!
Mr Lai, too, says he's very proud of us and it's best news he's had for a while, thanks for tagging by the way(:
Mr Low also, is very happy for all of us and he says well done!

Alot of seniors, ex-conductors, parents and loads of people have been with us throughout our progression to today. Always be mindful that this is only the beginning, next practice will be after midyears/prelims on 22nd May!

Choir go go go! (Okay be happy for the 2 and half weeks only then after that is progression again okay)
Continue to upgrade and improve then I'll give you a nice camp hahaha(:

It's a
GOLD!

We've done it choir!
Please be mindful that this gold didn't come easy. How we've worked through our Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays (and then Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays) these few months and how many times we've failed terribly at workshops or even during our own practises.
And please, please do not commit the same mistakes again and then drop all the way to COP then go up to gold 2 years later cos it's super scary.

No words can describe the amount of gratitude and love we owe Miss Yin. You guys better get honours next SYF to make up for her depression and sorrows over us for the past few months (or even since she took our choir).
Also, Miss Ng, Mr Loh and Miss Cheng has been absolutely supportive of us all these while. Organising exchanges for us, maintaining attendance, excusing us from lessons and all.
Miss Lim's help has been very useful to many of us too.
Mr Poh and Miss Chai's guidance helped us to keep on track.
We also have to thank (ahem) the Committee, especially the (ahem) Student Conductors (which is me and Marilyn hahahah) and the SLs (Marilyn, Ashley, Weishan, me, Peiru, Zann, Asaph, Isaac, Keith and Xiaotong) for always tolerating your nonsense and sacrificing our voices to scream and shout at you and call you back for extra sectionals though you all don't ever turn up.
And of course, everyone single one of these 53 of you who have spent your hours and days and never gave up and contributed to this gold.

And we also should thank Chun Chun Hoarse Voice Tea for keeping our throats safe and sound. Which is thanking Miss Yin again.

I will see you all tomorrow in choir room at the special timing the SLs have told you! (:

Hello choir,

Please assemble at 8.30am sharp tomorrow at choir room in your costumes (and girls with your makeup).
We will leave for VCH at about 9.45am and return to school sometime around or after 1pm.
You will not attend flag raising and cause confusion between the teachers, not allowed to go for any lessons or whatsoever.

What to bring/wear:
Girls - Gown, black court shoes, makeup (foundation, blusher, lipstick, eye colour: ALL LIGHT COLOURS, STRICTLY NO FAKE EYELASHES OR MASCARA OR GLITTER LIKE WHAT SOME OF YOU DID FOR OUR CONCERT), comb, lots of black hairclips.

Boys - Blazer, white shirt, pants, black leather shoes, black high socks, school tie. (Don't spike your hair until you look like you got an electric shock, but don't need to gel it until it's super shiny and flat also cos it'll be super obiang).

All - Water!!! (You can bring the tea Miss Yin gave out, but don't bring big huge bottles and give Miss Ng more things to do.) Bring all your lucky amulets and whatsoever yada yada.

There'll be a SYF debrief session on Saturday at choir room. Attendance is compulsory, Miss Yin and Miss Lim will be there and we'll get to know various marks and comments from all seven judges.

Tomorrow's the big day, choir go for gold! :D
Give out unsettled energy and spirit of the waves in White Horses,
Remember what instruments you have to be and to flirt in Cui Dong Cui,
Imagine the pain and sorrow in Kasar!
Most importantly, watch Miss Yin and smile with spirit!

hello choir! it's sheryl here. choir, it's the final lap already..i know that everyone is tired, BUT i really believe that we're going to all make it, and we're going to achieve our GOLD! it's for that few moments on stage..all that we've worked hard for, let's not let it go down the drain..we'll run this last 100m together, as a team, as a choir. rmb miss yin mentioned before. look at the back of the person in front of u. ''we sing TOGETHER''/ FLIRT FLIRT FLIRT PPL!!! for cui dong cui, we really need to go all out and ''SEDUCE'' the judges and miss yin until their hair stands! don forget, we also need to have the X factor. and what is that? STAGE PRESENCE. while we were giving miss yin our all in the music room today, the expression and intensity during KASAR was good! keep it up. kasar.THE EARTH IS TIRED. girls don forget at MARCATO please give the TRIBAL sound. from LAMENTOSO onwards, everyone must make sure the EARTH changes from TIRED TO ANGRY! lastly for our SET PIECE commissioned by Mr Stephen Leek, the UNSETTLING energy! breathe deeply for the first part BUT start soft! bear in mind that the dynamic for the first bar is PP. not FF. at the end of the piece, don breathe when it is " dissolve in the *breathes* misssstttt". DO NOT BREATHE THERE!! also, dont misssssttttt. watch miss yin, she'll signal us when to cut. JIA YOU CHOIR! WE CAN DO IT! let's not disappoint miss yin, the teachers, and everyone else who has supported us and not forgetting OURSELVES,for having worked so hard and come thus far.

Hello choir,

Please note that all will be excused from sports meet on Thursday (9/4) afternoon.
After your lessons, report to choir room at 12pm on time.

Thursday's practice is a make up for Friday's since Friday is a public holiday.

Also, Wednesday (8/4)'s practice will be at Music Room instead as Nan Hua will be coming over.
All to put on best behaviour and host attitude!

Hello choir,

Please be reminded that there'll be practice on Monday at 3.15pm.
You are excused from your interaction period and assembly.
Practice will be at choir room.

Compulsory sectionals for all on Tuesday from 3 to 5pm at the choir room also.
You are excused from any extra lessons or activities.
SLs will be correcting your common mistakes and teaching you to sing into the character of the songs.

Attendance for morning practices on Tuesdays and Thursdays have to buck up, all who are absent have to take the initiative to inform your SLs.

Homework for the weekend: Research on Kasar and 催咚催 and do an elaboration of how the meaning of the songs are to be linked with the emotions and how to insert them into your singing.

Writeup to be done by Monday, those who fail to do so will get it severely from Miss Ng personally.
