Hello choir! Kuoxian here.

There will be a concert by Anderson Secondary School choir on the 20th of February, at Victoria Concert Hall. Time slots are 4.30pm or 7.00pm. Tickets are at $12 each. Ms Yin is very keen on us going so please consider this. Those interested, please give your names to Peiru at 4MD latest by Tuesday. Thanks.

Recordings of last friday's practice

i've uploaded the clips from last friday's practice. Included in the zip file are 5 tracks. The tracks that will be useful will be the 秋蝉 recordings since you guys do not have the score for that song. You can use the recordings to practice at home in your free time.

Hello everybody! Kuoxian here. :D

Regarding the choir concert on the 30th December, please meet at the Esplanade concert hall at 7pm sharp to get your tickets. Those who are not going, please inform me via my mobile phone. Those who know of this news, please message your SLs or me that you know of this news. SLs, please give me the names of those who didn't reply your message latest by tomorrow.

Also, those who have not pay for the tickets, please bring the money on that day. It should be around $30 or less, not sure of the exact price. Those who are not going, unless you have told Mr Loh or any other teachers about it, I think you still need to pay for the ticket. I will inform you about it.

I hope that all of you will work together with the new committee regardless of section or gender or whether you like them or not (that was what has been going on for the past years). Enough of choir politics. It isn't easy at all to take care of this choir, so cut your new leaders a little slack by being good and nice. Those who haven't been appointed, please do not be disheartened and lose your passion for this choir and singing, 'cos these are the people who are very "unluckily" going to work themselves out for the choir for the next year. Also, we wanted to give the seniors more chances and opportunities to experience being leaders, thus majority elected this year are sec 3s.

New committee, all the best in leading this choir. It's been great (or sometimes not so) conducting this choir for the past 2 years and everything, thank you everyone for being part of a choir that brings people's emotions to life (be it happiness or sadness or anger).

All sec 1 - 3 members are to return with your usual gold choral attitude and discipline.

If yours SLs have not informed you, tonight's performance at the school anniversary dinner is cancelled.

Latest update:

Recording session will be on as usual tomorrow despite recent cancellation of activities.
All to have the SATB version of school song memorised.

LATEST UPDATE FROM SCHOOL:

Due to the cases of students infected with H1N1 in our school, the choir camp will indefinitely be cancelled. Wednesday's practice and the school's SYF Aesthetics Showcase is also cancelled. Also, we would like to reduce the number of people involved in the school's 70th Anniversary Dinner performance to minimise the risk of community spread.

Therefore, only Thursday (25/6)'s practice is still on. Those who feel that there is a need for you to pull out of the anniversary recording and performance due to the H1N1 cases are free to do so, but inform your SLs first.

Farewell & Handover 2009 is also cancelled. New committee will be announced someday somehow by someone while Sec 4s will have to compromise and make do without a proper farewell. Members are to also stop harrassing your SLs to ask them about who were the people who contracted the flu virus.

Also, there will be no refund of your $4 for camp because we already bought all the materials needed, ordered all your food, and the farewell presents before all this chaos happened. So stop asking your SLs on why you can't have your $4 back because WE ALREADY USED THEM UP. Those who haven't paid are expected to pay still. It would be very kindly appreciated if all of you co-operate with your SLs' instructions, especially at this point of time where everything is left in a mess.

Only those who are involved in anniversary dinner recording and performances are required to turn up for practices. There will be no need for Sec 4s to come back for future practices anymore.
